Description

Ever wondered why the indiscretions of some MPs make the front page while others don't?

How close journalists truly get to politicians?

How Westminster tittle-tattle turns into news?

Please join Labour in the City for an evening in conversation with Marie Le Conte, the political journalist, commentator and author.

Marie will be talking about her newly released book, "Haven't You Heard?: Gossip, power and how politics really works". She's written for the Sunday Times, Guardian and New Statesman, is a former Political Correspondent for Buzzfeed and former diarist for the Evening Standard.

As ever, there will also be time for drinks and networking.

Our thanks to Newgate Communications for kindly hosting this event.

DATE: 10 October

TIME: Drinks and refreshments from 6.30pm, discussion at 7pm, close at 8.45pm.

LOCATION: Newgate Communications, Sky Light City Tower, 50 Basinghall Street, London, EC2V 5DE

Labour in the City holds social events for people who work at all levels in UK financial and related professional services and are supportive of the Labour party.

People who attend do so in their own free time and entirely in their personal capacity.

Our aim is to provide a place where like-minded people can meet in an informal setting. We host drinks, dinners, speaker meetings and debates.
